Governance 

As a registered charity we place good governance at the heart of what we do. The trust of our donors, partners and beneficiaries is a foundation stone to delivering our vision for a more active world for better mental health.

Our governance foundations 

CHARITY REGISTRATION - we are a registered charity in England and Wales (number 1206268). You can view our charitable purpose at the charity commission website. Our legal structure is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO).

FUNDRAISING - we are a member of the fundraising regulator and abide by the code of fundraising practice. 

 

TRUSTEE BOARD - you can view our hugely passionate trustee board below. We bring a wealth of senior level experience from across business, social services, healthcare and charity.

7 PRINCIPLES OF CHARITY GOVERNANCE CODE  -  we annually review our activities against this code making sure we operate within our purpose, exercise integrity at all times, manage risks with appropriate controls, optimise our board effectiveness, and put equality and diversity into all our decision making.

FRAMEWORK OF ESSENTIAL POLICIES - all our policies are available on request to anybody, and include the following :

1. Health and safety at work policy. 

2. Data Protection and Privacy Policy (GDPR). 

3. Volunteer policy. 

4. Finance - reserves policy, anti money laundering, anti bribery, internal financial controls. 

5. Risk management - we have a risk register with appropriate mitigations. 

6. Safeguarding. 

7. Complaints and appeal process for grant applications and awards.
